Statement of faith

But Jesus looked at them and said, “With men it is impossible, but not with God; for with God all things are possible.” Mark 10:27

Godhead

We believe in the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost and in the fullness of the Godhead, three distinct persons in one each having their own abilities and personalities.

We believe it is the work of the complete Godhead and only through the power of all three is man brought to salvation, that it is by faith and faith only we are saved, and that being a gift from God.

We believe in the sanctifying work of the Holy Spirit. John 6:63; ESV. “It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh is no help at all. The words that I have spoken to you are spirit and life.”

Bible

We believe the Bible is the inerrant and infallible Word of God. That there is one God only, Creator and sustainer of all things visible and invisible. Romans 1:20

We believe the Old Testament and the New Testament, both were given to man as God saw necessary. That throughout time, being a period of over fourteen hundred years, God’s completion of His written will for us, was delivered in both a coherent and consistent manner.  That man, instructed by the work and inspiration of the Holy Spirit, gave to us the greatest love letter ever written, and that faith in the Word and in the Son’s sacrifice, we find salvation to all who believe.

Creation

We believe that God created all things including time according to the writings of, Genesis 1:5

We believe that God created Adam from the dirt of the ground, Genesis 2:7, and that Eve was created from Adam, Genesis 2:22, and that this relationship displays what is to be the pinnacle of all relationships in the marriage of one man and one woman.

We believe Israel is referred to as the Bride of the Father, Jeremiah 3:14, and the Christian Church, the Bride of the Son, 2 Corinthians 11:2, Revelation 19:7-9, 21:9. The reason of importance is to display to us the intimacy and devotion of a loving husband toward a loving wife. That Christ died for His bride, Ephesians 5:25. This is the image of an all caring Lord, that He died for Her. Read Romans 5:8.

Praise and Worship

We believe we praise and worship God through our devotion and our obedience, As Jesus was always obedient even unto death, so we are to love our almighty God in the same way. Philippians 2:8 Our lives are to be viewed through the written word, which is contained in the Scripture, that the Scripture is the final word.

Jesus’ Virgin Birth

We believe the Son, our Lord Jesus is Lord and was born through a virgin birth by His mother Mary. That our Lord did walk on this earth amongst men and living a perfect life, took upon Himself the sin of the world, then suffered and died on the cross of Calvary that we might receive salvation.

Sin

We believe man is born sinful and has no chance of salvation separate from receiving and accepting the calling from God the Father, Galatians 5:13. That accepting this calling is what brings us to our Lord Jesus, and that only through Him do we come to the Father, John 14:6. That it is through faith in these things that delivers us from the chains of bondage we once lived in.

We believe that all mankind is created equal, that all are sinful, Psalms 51:5, for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, Romans 3:23, but through the precious blood of our Lord Jesus all are cleansed and He has achieved our reconciliation Romans 5:11

Salvation

We believe that no man can come to the Father except through our Lord Jesus, John 14:6.

We believe that no one comes to the Son that the Father has not called, John 6:44, that through the creation of things visible made by what was invisible God has called all, Romans 1:19-20. That man is without excuse when standing before the Lord on the day of judgment.

We believe man must be born again John 3:3, 1 Peter 5:1. That man is born in a new flesh and the old man is gone, Romans 6:5-7

We believe salvation has been bought and paid for through the sacrifice of our Lord Jesus, His death on the cross. 1 Corinthians 6:20, that He was buried and dead and on the third day did rise again defeating death. “And having disarmed the powers and authorities, he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it.” Colossians 2:15

We believe that after Jesus died He descended and having rescued those who were asleep in faith, then returned to His rightful place having taken captivity captive. It is only in Him true freedom resides. Ephesians 4:8-9
